Vietnamese Baguettes

“Banh Mi” is Vietnamese baguettes without filling, rooted from  French baguettes. The Vietnamese baguettes are airy, crunchy and have thin crush.

In the US, the term “Banh Mi” sandwiches is  Vietnamese baguette filled with Vietnamese ham (cha lua, pâté ) and mayonnaise,  cilantro, cucumber, jalapeño, and pickled carrots and daikon.  Vietnamese baguettes are essential in  having the best Banh Mi sandwiches.

We do not have to go to France to get the best baguettes. If you live in big cities in the USA,  you can go to  a Vietnamese deli or supermarket to get  baguettes and “Banh Mi” sandwitches.

In Seattle, there are many Vietnamese sandwich shops, and Asian supermarkets.  People go to  Q Bakery Sandwitches to get  fresh baked baguettes (every 30 minutes), sandwiches and pastries.  The pictures were taken from Q Bakery Sandwiches shop.
