Korean Marinate Sauce

We marinate the meat in the sauce overnight, so the meat will be tender, juicy and tasty after grilling.  Ginger, pear, or vigenar, soy sauce make the meat tender.

Below is the recipe of Korean marinate sauce adapted the recipe  from foodrepublic.com
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 1 1/2 pounds meat (chicken, pork or beef)


1/2 cup scallions, sliced
1/2 cup soy sauce (kikoman)
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
3 cloves garlic, smashed
1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of chili flake (optional)
1 teaspoon of ground pepper
1 Asian pear, peel and grated (optional)
  1. In a large zip top bag combine all ingredients.
  2. Add meat and marinate in the fridge for 4 to 8 hours until grilling or baking.
